Friendships: The closest thing Michael ever had to a friendship was the brief one he had with Teyla shortly after he was turned into a human. However, he ruined that when he kidnapped her...twice. Sexuality: Straight Strengths:Like most Wraith, Michael is rather strong and good at fighting. He is also brilliant when it comes to genetics and DNA. He has made several hybrids and a few clones. Weaknesses: Michael’s biggest weakness is his human side. It gives him feelings he never had as a Wraith; feelings that are bothersome to him. The person he feels most for is Teyla, and he knows he can never kill her, no matter what the others think. Habits/Quirks: Michael’s biggest habit is how he uses innocent people for his experiments. He has no regard for human life, and doesn’t care if they live or die. He also likes to make plans, especially plans concerning those idiots on Atlantis. Personality: Michael is not a people person. He sees humans as disposable playthings he can experiment on. He doesn’t care if they live or die. Michael tends to hold grudges, and has a hard time letting things go. If you do something wrong to him, he won’t rest until he has his revenge. He’s very bright and creative. What was your character doing before they arrived on the island? About 650 years ago, Michael was born as a nameless Wraith on a Hive ship. During his first twelve years of life, he lived a normal life since Wraith are unable to feed until they reach the age of thirteen. However, when he became a teenager, he was trained on how to fight. When he showed interest in science, he was mentored by other Wraith scientists. By the time of his eighteenth birthday, he was ready to take his place under a Wraith Queen. Throughout his centuries as a Wraith, he developed several experiments dealing with genetics and DNA. He helped better the Wraith race, and make them stronger. A few years ago, he was kidnapped from his hive ship by a team from Atlantis. He named Michael by John Sheppard, and they injected him with a drug called the retro-virus. The drug caused Michael to become a human. When he woke up, he had no memory of who he was, and had to rely on the people on Atlantis to fill him in. They told him he was in the military and had been hurt in a mission to a hive ship. Michael believed them, even though part of him knew there was more to the story. He became friends with Teyla, which made things a little better for him. However, when he started to have nightmares about the Wraith, he knew he had to find out what was really going on. So one night, while Doctor Carson Beckett was sleeping at his desk, Michael took several discs from his office. He watched the discs and soon discovered that he had once been a Wraith. Michael was angry and lashed out. Knowing he could be a danger to the city, he was sent to the Atlantis beta site. However, he got the upper hand when he used mind control on Teyla. He kidnapped her and took her to another planet. Michael knew he couldn’t hurt Teyla so he let her go. By this time he was starting to turn back to being a Wraith, but the transformation wasn’t complete, and he ended up keeping a lot of human characteristics. He returned to his hive ship, where he was treated like an outsider. His Wraith Queen used him to get to Atlantis, and when Michael realized what was happening, he help John’s team. When Atlantis was saved again, Michael was put in jail, and eventually given the retro-virus again, along with several other Wraith. However, this time Michael remembered everything this time. One night Michael, along with some of the other Wraith hybrids, decided to overthrow the Atlantis’ beta site, and escape. Before they did, Michael kidnapped Carson and took DNA from him. Michael stepped up his experiments, and eventually kidnapped all the Athosians so he could use them for his experiments. Also, since Teyla is Athosian, he saw this as the perfect way to get revenge on her. However when he found out Teyla was pregnant, and that her son was special, he turned his attention on getting her. He set up a trap for her and took her before anyone could help. As the Atlantis teams were looking for her, they found Carson Beckett, who had died the year before in an explosion. It turned out that he was a clone Michael had made, and used in his experiments. As Teyla drew closer to giving birth to her son, Michael prepared for the baby. However, the Atlantis team found them so he decided to cut his losses, and escape using one of their puddle jumpers. As he left his ship, there was a bright flash of light, and he found himself on a strange island. Michael shows up right after episode 5x01 “Search and Rescue”. | |||||||||
